The seed of what has become Volaris Group was planted more than 25 years ago when public transit software leader Trapeze Group became the first acquisition made by Constellation Software.
50+ countries
200+ companies
14,000+ employees
By 2011, Trapeze Group realized it had developed expertise in acquiring and integrating software companies that could serve other vertical markets. As company leadership continued to look for growth, they saw a need to incorporate a new organization separate from Trapeze Group. A new name for the larger organization was born - Volaris Group.
In the last two decades, the company has expanded into more than 40 vertical markets, including agri-food, asset management, and communications & media. Volaris has also extended its global reach, now operating businesses in more than 50 countries across six continents.
Several of Volaris Group's key vertical portfolios have grown to support brands of their own, operating as subsidiaries of the larger group while working autonomously to acquire and grow software businesses that serve a particular industry.
Modaxo is Volaris Group's People Transportation portfolio — a global collective of technology companies passionate about delivering software and technology solutions that connect people with the places they need to go for work, family, and everyday life.
Lumine Group is home to a global network of communications and media software businesses that empower the future of connectivity in the industry. Lumine is publicly traded on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV:LMN).
Cultura Technologies is enhancing the world’s most important industry, Agri-Food. We are a growing global collaborative of people, businesses, and insights, that enable better decisions to build a thriving and resilient agri-food system.
Vencora acquires, strengthens and grows vertical market technology companies in the banking, insurance and financial services industries. Vencora is focused on preserving legacies and empowering businesses to serve the best interests of their customers and employees.

When we acquire a business, we remain loyal to it. Unlike private equity or venture capital firms, we do not flip and resell the companies we buy. By holding onto businesses forever and investing in products and employees, we allow customer needs to be met over the long term.
As a part of Volaris, you can continue running your business while benefitting from belonging to a larger organization. You'll gain access to benchmarks garnered through hundreds of acquisitions which can help you understand your business' strengths and opportunities for improvement.
Along with our parent company, Constellation Software Inc., we have successfully acquired over 1,000 software businesses. As seasoned acquirers, we have the financial and operational expertise required to grow vertical market software companies. Businesses that join us gain access to capital to fund initiatives and pursue acquired growth.
We nurture a culture of learning and provide professional development at all levels of the organization. Volaris regularly brings peers together for functional summits to foster collaboration and partnership and share best practices. We invest in employees and work with you to develop the next generation of leaders in your organization.
It can be lonely running a company in isolation or struggling to find learning and best practices that are truly relevant to the issues you face. Volaris 101 is a global program designed to provide newly acquired, hired, or promoted leaders with their first deep dive into everything we have learned about operating high-performing software businesses. This is an exclusive event where our senior leaders take away the tools they need to deliver great results, support their teams, and power their careers.
I've been with Volaris Group for 12 years, but with the organization that was acquired, AssetWorks, for 31 years. During the acquisition in 2008, I came in as a COO and was then promoted to the General Manager position two years later. I had a lot to learn, but was lucky to have access to the entire Volaris network of leaders who were willing to share their insights from facing similar challenges.
Having witnessed the evolution of our marketing strategy at AssetWorks following the acquisition, our journey has been transformative, to say the least. Initially equipped with just one quality marketing generalist resource, we believed we were making strides. Hiring a second resource seemed to bolster our efforts, yet upon benchmarking against other Volaris organizations and evaluating their adept use of digital marketing, the realization dawned that we were falling behind. A decision was made to elevate our marketing capabilities by leveraging Volaris' best practices.
The targeted approach to marketing significantly impacted the size of our sales pipeline, attracting more fitting opportunities and propelling our business to unforeseen growth. We achieved this independently, fortified by the confidence that our decisions were grounded in data obtained through shared experiences from other Volaris companies.
Whether it's about driving sales or fostering career growth, Volaris offers an invaluable support system. External company owners often rely solely on their own experiences and limited available information to make critical business decisions. At Volaris, you're not working in isolation, but in a dynamic network of experienced individuals who are constantly learning and growing together.
Now, as a Portfolio Leader overseeing new acquisitions, witnessing new leaders navigate their growth journey is immensely rewarding. One of my career highlights was steering the integration process of the very first acquisition I was responsible for, aligning them with best practices and witnessing their subsequent growth and success. Whatever your career aspirations may be, rest assured that Volaris is unwavering in its commitment to supporting your growth.
Akuiteo is an integrated commercial, operational and financial management platform designed for independent software vendors (ISV). Since its creation, the company has grown to serve more than 80 customers, including design offices, architecture agencies and consulting firms.
After many years of success within the French ISV market, Akuiteo's leaders wanted to ensure long-term growth for the company as they began succession planning prior to their eventual retirement. They needed a partner that could allow them to remain as leaders of the business for years prior to their planned retirement and provide autonomy for the company to continue building on the brand identity it had developed.
Volaris Group's buy-and-hold philosophy and focus on ensuring the long-term success of its portfolio companies fit well with Akuiteo's desire to continue growing their business sustainably. The Volaris emphasis on decentralization also matched the company's desire to continue running the business their way, and the financial backing of a large publicly traded company provided customers with assurance that Akuiteo would remain a reliable partner for years to come.
Since joining the Volaris family, Akuiteo has expanded its customer base and further developed its relationships with existing clients. The company launched two new offerings, HelpDesk Unlimited and Permanent Assistance Contract, to provide greater service and finance capabilities to its customers, enabling the business to realize new levels of growth.
Employees at Akuiteo have also seen opportunities for development. Leadership quickly implemented new training materials provided by Volaris and began working with their teams on developing objectives to strengthen performance. Looking forward, Akuiteo intends to expand the functional scope of its solutions and continue building its customer base worldwide.
